Holocaust Educators Network of Michigan Summer Seminar

The Holocaust Educators Network of Michigan Summer Seminar will bring together educators from across the state to study the Holocaust from the perspective of classroom teachers and teacher leaders. We will witness and study, then collaborate, taking our ideas back to individual classrooms and writing project sites all over Michigan. The seminar will be offered through the eleven-university network of the National Writing Projects of Michigan, and participants will be writing project site leaders who have demonstrated both interest and commitment to Holocaust and social justice education. The seminar will look at lessons from the Holocaust and apply them to historic and contemporary Michigan. Teachers will also be asked to consider Holocaust Education from a local perspective.
